In the Zero Waste Workshop, zero waste activities and good practice examples carried out in Turkey, France, Italy, Jordan and Azerbaijan countries were explained.

So what is Zero Waste?
“Zero Waste” is a resource and waste management approach based on circularity. It promotes sustainable production and consumption habits and supports the efficient use of resources. Zero waste advocates avoiding waste and preventing, reducing, reusing and recycling waste. It can thus help achieve positive socio-economic outcomes, including the promotion of social solidarity.

The 5D model, which also covers the proper use of natural assets and prevention of waste, consists of the principles of “Think, Don't Consume If Not Necessary”, “Consume Less”, “Evaluate, Reuse”, “Replace, Use for Different Purposes” and “Transform, Let Nature Win”.
